I think that this quote means if something and it's a bad thing then, it's not right. Sometimes doing the right thing isn't always the most popular thing. An example can be: if 90% of the world are taking drugs then, you shouldn't do it cause the most popular thing isn't always right. A different example can be: giving free haircuts to the homeless.
