This quote means people who do good on a daily basis are really living. I think it also means that people who do only bad things don't get to live life. An example can be if I donate to those in need. A different example can be if I start stealing from people then, I'm not living my life.

If you feel that you know what's right then you should do it. I think that this quote also means that you have to think about things before you decide on choosing.
